Overview
The King of Uruk takes the Gilgamesh Epic through the looking glass and directly west.
Description
Gil is the iron-toting, undisputed King of Uruk. His rise to power is fast and violent, but he’s quickly bored by the lack of challenge. He grows cruel and complacent until a wild man from the desert arrives and puts his strength to the test. The Gilgamesh Epic is one of the oldest examples of literature, and an engaging story. The King of Uruk riffs off of the epic in a wild-west setting, while maintaining the larger-than-life—supernatural feel of the story.
About the author
Tim Worsham writes poetry, children’s stories, devotional studies, fantasy, and science fiction from his home in Minnesota. Two of his titles are set to release in 2015: his Fantasy Western, entitled, The King of Uruk, and is speculative Christmas story, Shylight. When he’s not reading, or writing, or working, he can usually be found ankle deep in the dandelions of a ball field, neck deep in a Float Tank, or elbow deep in a Chinese buffet.
