Jamall Joseph D. Robinson is an American author, songwriter and actor born in Berkeley, California and raised in nearby Emeryville.
His first book, Chasing Joseph, is a largely autobiographical work that was released world wide June 30, 2015 which has sold over 3000 copies to date. His 2nd book, a fiction work, and a religious tract titled The Devil Has Many Faces released as a ebook on August 6, 2015.
Robinson first won acclaim as rap artist “J NET,” with the 2006 debut album Prince of Tha Streetz, which sold over 200,000 copies. His 2007 follow up album, Ya Royal Freshness, sold over 100,000 copies in its first week. Later albums included The Dark OutCome (2011), Slave (2014) and Slave Reloaded (2015) that featured major recording artist E 40, Mistah FAB, D LO, San Quinn, Rayvin Justice, Milli Ali, and Du Damage, which was Robinson’s last musical album to be released and his most personal musical art ever released.
Film credits include The Cool Kids (2015 -2016), which he both produced and co-starred in, Along side Talon Reid known for many hit films such as “Frog Kingdom” with Drake Bell and “In Time” Starring Justin Timberlake.
Besides artistic pursuits he devotes significant time to religious and humanitarian work. As a registered pastor he founded The Church of Truth, Inc., which is active in helping alleviate the problem of homelessness rather then teaching religious scriptures. Robinson owns and operates multiple multimillion dollar consultant firms from New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, CA.
