The Keys Book

The Keys Book is a glimpse of what it feels like, through a lifespan, to be an adoptee. It is intended for adult adoptees and for their family members and friends. It is designed to help convey feelings not frequently understood by those who are not adopted.

The Keys Book is a short, Illustrated book, intended for adult adoptees and for people who are interested in understanding the feelings of adoptees. It is quirky and whimsical, and is presented much like a children's book with the purpose of helping to simplify the complicated thoughts adoptees often can't express.

Ruth Monnig grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She was adopted as an infant, and discovered her birth family and origins when she turned 50. She graduated from Duke University in 1986, and went on to get a Master's Degree In Library and Information Science from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
