A warring crime family hires an assassin to take out the crime boss of another family.

In the Heart of an Assassin Tony Bertot left the readers wanting more as the characters come to life with the turn of each page. You follow the assassin as he closes in on his mark while at the same time you start to see the human side of his character and you wonder what made him this way. You are engulfed in the life of a young boy whose innocence is stolen when tragedy strikes and you see the human side of the assassin as he sought revenge on the boys behalf. Twenty years later they find themselves on opposite sides of the law.

Born and raised in New York City, Antonio I Bertot saw firsthand the tragedies of city life. Being fortunate to be raised by loving parents he and his siblings, two older brothers and two younger sisters, escaped the tragedies that befall many that cannot escape the violence and misfortune of the streets. Mr. Bertot has always enjoyed telling stories to his kids and their friends and until recently when a good friend persuaded him to publish some of his works, he had never contemplated becoming an author. Mr. Bertot, recently moved to Surprise, Arizona from Cheektowaga, New York, where he had lived for the past 17 years. The Assassin trilogy, which consist of his first three books; The Heart of an Assassin, The Birth of an Assassin and The Legacy of the Assassin was followed by Hell Train; Mr. Bertot's first venture into the macabre.
