Derrick Bull is a minister who truly has a heart for God. If you were ever able to spend more than five minutes in conversation with him, you would clearly see that his passion to please God is instantly recognizable; and you would certainly feel as if you’ve known this gentle young man for years. Derrick’s spiritual mission is to “Turn the world upside down” with godly praise as he travels extensively to share the love of God across the country. He accepted the divine call of ministry in 2007, and each day, he continues to share the importance of having a submissive heart that’s yielded and totally in love with God. In his threefold ministry – speaker, worship leader and writer – Derrick’s ultimate goal is to get the word of God out front for the world to experience. Throughout his life, he has actively worked to fulfill a God-given vision to capture the interests of today’s generation – helping people experience the love of God through sincere praise and worship. Growing up in Darlington, South Carolina, Derrick never seriously considered becoming a writer. After recognizing his impact on worshippers and worship leaders, however, Derrick decided to use his personal journal as a blueprint to write his book “Heart of a Worshipper: A Lifestyle of Worship,” and use it as a handbook and teaching tool for them to gain more knowledge of what God requires in worship. Derrick has also had extraordinary success with his music ministry, “Derrick Bull & Remnant,” which released its first CD recording entitled “Heart of a Worshipper,” in 2010. He was, simultaneously, co-host of a Gospel radio show which aired in major markets of South and North Carolina. In March 2010, Derrick married the love of his life, Nadia Jones; “a woman of grace who truly embraces what love is.” Recently, his group Derrick Bull & Remnant was chosen to be a part of the Jawn Murray Presents: Untapped music compilation CD which was released internationally by EMI Gospel in 2011. Above all, whether he is writing, singing, preaching, or simply teaching bible class; Derrick believes in going all out for God.
