Overview

Modern life has much to offer but it also has a set of unique challenges, especially in the area of nutrition. There is so much information and misinformation about which food is good or not so good, that it is difficult for patients yet alone their clinicians to make sense of it all. Our aim initially, was simply to produce a set of videos in an e-book, showing how to prepare and cook tasty and nutritious food based on sound scientific principles with accompanying text, expanding on the principles of why we think that this is simply the best way to eat, in order to enhance health and well-being. However as we developed the e-book we decided that we should really incorporate some of the other ideas that have been developed at The Health Equation and used successfully on many thousands of patients.

Description

At the heart of this integrated approach to medicine is the ability to address our bodies and minds in the following ways:

1. Biomechanical – The neuromusculoskeletal system

2. Biochemical – The dietary & hormonal interactions

3. Psychological – The Emotional components of both conscious and subconscious patterns

As each system is interdependent on the workings of the others, when out of sync, chaos and dysfunction can often set in and may even ultimately manifest as disease. In the forthcoming chapters we share with you our concepts and techniques for allowing these 3 interdependent systems to work more harmoniously together. The e-book also contains 10 HD videos, containing the preparation and cooking of several breakfast, lunch and dinner recipes, following the principles of metabolic balance®, a unique and innovative nutritional programme developed by Dr Wolf Funfack in Germany. It also contains several chapters containing information on health and well-being, including techniques for stress management, breathing, meditation and sleep, all pre-requisites for optimizing our digestive system. A good functioning digestive system coupled with an optimal eating programme can go a long way to significantly improving our health and well-being.
