Overview

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Glitch Factory: Perfectly Human in an Imperfect World Local Human Mother Releases Anthology That Explores Our Hilarious Attempts to Control the Chaos in Our Lives. 12 stories, 12 doses of reality, 12 quirky perspectives, all strung together to reveal the glitches that curb our future plans and make us second guess the reality we’ve been so hastily shoved into. CITY, PROVINCE, STATE, DATE— Donna Thompson, local mother, retired teacher, and full-time author, has released her first anthology, titled “The Glitch Factory: Perfectly Human in an Imperfect World.” Through a compilation of short stories written with an elegant prose, Thompson defines the chaos that surrounds our daily lives by revealing the quirks and nuances that always seem to catch us off-guard. Humans are a stubborn species—we simply refuse to accept that our reality is not working in league with us. We make future plans, and then are surprised when something unexpected comes up and changes everything, imagine. Thompson is also a member of the Association of Independent Authors, where she often shares her works with the public and collaborates with other authors from around the world. In addition, she is the creator of the blog/website, “The Glitch Factory,” where she shares insightful observations on what it means to be stringently human in such a vibrant, chaotic world filled with unpredictability.

Description

"The Glitch Factory:Perfectly Human in an Imperfect World" began as an idea, transformed into a  website and ended up as a book. The anthology removes the veneer while maintaining the glimmer in an exploration of people places and things, the nounology of it all.  Through digital images, and a variety of written forms, we explore the wealth that is our  humanity.     You, the reader are welcome to scratch the surface of the tales or delve into the depths as a matter of choice and in accordance with the time at your disposal. I have wrapped this gift in a structure and form that runs parallel to the themes of  the stories.      The written work is not a highway, paved and well marked but a road, unpredictable but signed. I hope you enjoy reading of the characters and their quests and in some way the book leaves you thinking or meshes with some of your own real life stories. Fiction so often is recreation for  the known as well as a precipice into the unknown. Parachutes provided deep within the prose. :) Stroll, run  jump, fly and settle  , the verbology of our engagement. Yes we sometimes fall as well.

About the author

In my slice of life I am perfectly human, meaning I am flawed, in an imperfect world. I am a teeny tiny part of the global population of people who like to write, specifically, and ultimately create. Teacher and student , of many years, in and out of a classroom, I have taken up the pen as the next phase of learning and doing. Thanks to all my teachers, both those in the classroom, in books and out and about in the world. Please enjoy my first publication, a team effort and a journey into the heart, soul , environment and intellect of being human.
