About the author
Hello, my name is Meiko S. Patton. I wrote this book in honor of my late mother, Bernice Patton. She passed away after a long and arduous battle with colon and liver cancer. She loved to write songs and that is where I developed my love of the written word. She actually came up with the idea of the story, in fact she would make up stories to tell her eight siblings and this was one of the stories. But the only thing she could remember about the story was that there was a Giant Strawberry in the middle of the road, so I came up with the rest. I have worked for the United States Postal Service for the past 16 years. I really love my job and the people I work with. In my spare time I like to read, volunteer and learn languages. I am also Freelance Writer and Graphic Designer.
