They need to come to an understanding to find a positive outcome to outwit fate and karma. Vetarin Mihailovic is a professional chemist who engages in conversation with a college student, after a business trip. Beginning not-so-innocently enough in his manipulative style, he finds he wants more and becomes motivated to continue and dominate in his relationship with her with or without her consent. Their relationship becomes a very serious game in which neither is in control and they need to come to a resolution together to survive.
