By Kit Remsen

In a small coastal town in Maine, an impulsive, but ordinary act changes everything. When Remy's silent bid wins her a handcrafted footstool at a local fundraiser, her thank- you note to the maker - an inmate at the county jail - pulls her into a world of secrets that silenced the town years before. This is a riveting, suspenseful page turner. The magical realm of coastal Maine stands in sharp contrast to the the unfolding of unspeakable secrets. The author's lyrical writing transports you, the characters are vivid and indelible and you will care for them long after reading the last sentence. About The Author

I am a writer and photographer living in Camden Maine. My work has appeared in Maine Boats Homes and Harbors, Yachting Magazine and Maine Magazine. I parted with my literary agent as I would lose all control, get in a queue for two years and I just couldn't do that. I found my way into writing my novel in a most circuitous path. I wish my readers an equally surprising journey as they wind their way through this story of secrets, fate, forgiveness, class and the depth of family This has been a labor of love and a story all my readers couldn't put down and truly loved.
