Nunyunuwi (Stone Clad), the evil cannibal witch who killed his father, holds the secret. Ugidahli needs the help of his eidolon and must betray his family and tribe to succeed. With Book 1 of the Cherokee Chronicles series, Courtney Miller begins the story of a fictional Cherokee family as they face the challenges of their time in history. Beginning in mythological times and progressing through the ancient classical period, the first contact with European explorers, and ending with the removal from their native lands, this series portrays the Cherokee people that few know about. A sophisticated and civilized society, the Cherokee were nothing like the "noble savage" portrayed by Hollywood. Experience the truth through this even-book journey that reveals the Any Yun Wiya (The Real People) as they really were.
About the author
Having retired after forty years in management, Courtney Miller has now embarked on the writing career he turned away from over four decades ago. Combining into his writing his passion for archaeology, astronomy, archaeoastronomy, and history, particularly that of the indigenous Native American cultures, Courtney has set out to create a fiction series of books based on the Cherokee culture before and after the European invasion. The stories are brought to life through the hopes, struggles, triumphs, and challenges of his characters. Characters we would recognize and identify with today, but who lived in a very different society and a very different time.
