About the author
"Hey Cowboy, turn your lights on !" Those are the first words that Lawrence Bishop ever said to me. As he pulled alongside my car on a hot July evening in Cheyenne, Wyoming, I said thanks! What he said next might be a surprise to most people. "Do you have a place we can stay?" Two complete strangers meeting on a street doesn't seem normal to ask if you can come stay at their house but when you wear a cowboy hat and you're from Wyoming, it seemed OK to me. 35 years later, we are still friends. We talk on a weekly, if not a daily basis. Sometimes several times a day. He is truly one of my best friends. The stories you were about to read may seem like fiction, but I can assure you they are true. I have never known him to lie nor even exaggerate , he doesn't have to. He has lived an amazing incredible life filled with meeting or being friends with some of the most interesting people on our planet. Although his book is about overcoming, I think you will be amazed by his stories of traveling the world with the Christian rock band, Bride, and meeting and writing music with some of the worlds best musicians. Being personal friends with people that most never got the chance to meet like Robbie Knievel, Joe Diffie or Jonathan Cain (Journey). Traveling Americas West as a professional rodeo cowboy from New York to Salinas from Scottsdale to North Dakota. He rode Broncs and Bulls, faced incredible hardship and injury. Heck he even rode a bull in church once for Dateline. However, more importantly dedicated his life to bring people to Jesus. With that being said, this isn't your typical self-help book, this is an unapologetic sincere open door to the trials and tribulations that he has gone through and how God kept answering his prayers in his own time. I hope you enjoy this, and it brings comfort to you as I have enjoyed being his friend all these years. Colt Bruegman, Professional Rodeo Cowboy, Rancher, Mensa member and entrepreneur
