Overview
The Ancient One warned the tribe that the Fire Huntress was coming and would burn the prairie. "I smell her in the air. She will devour all who stand before her. Nothing can stop her. She will eat the land, destroy what few buffalo and animals are left. She will consume the very soul of the earth." In Chesterville, Wyoming, others were also worried about the prolonged drought. What would they do if the prairie caught on fire? Could they save the city? Jamie Larson decided to buy a hand fire pumper, but that would protect his Lead Sky Livery and Dray and Sherman's Hotel and Bar. What about the town? Asher Grubel wanted the Fire Huntress to come. He had a great plan. While the people fought the fire, his gang would rob the bank, the train, the livery, the stagecoach, and the hardware store all at the same time. Then they'd hide away in his house until it was safe to leave. But it was not wise to challenge the Fire Huntress, for she went by her own rules. Everyone would find that out soon enough.

About the author
A prolific writer, Jeff R. Spalsbury enjoys writing in five genre. Jeff has authored contemporary novels, western novels, children's stories, and science fiction novels. He has also authored a collection of Christmas short stories. He seeks unique story locations and often uses factual sites, people, and events to enhance his fiction. Jeff is frequently asked if it is hard to switch back and forth among genre. In a recent interview, he said, "I find it very refreshing except (like a few months ago) when I was working on the final edit of my science fiction novel, plus being in the middle of writing a contemporary novel, and the interviewer asked questions about my Christmas short story collection. That got my head spinning, but normally, by the time I've finished one book, I'm ready to switch genre and work on another." This is a list of the novels Jeff has written: SHORT STORIES Merry Christmas Stories CONTEMPORARY Banishing the Darkness Why Not Tomorrow? The 20% Solution [Fall 2021] WESTERN NOVELS [THE HUNT SERIES] Vol 1. Hunt the Hunter Vol 2. The Hunted Return Vol 3. Hunt for a Bride Vol 4. The White-Haired Buffalo Hunter Vol 5. The Fire Huntress Vol 6. Hunt for a Home (Fall 2022) SCIENCE FICTION Space Dream One: That Others May Live Space Dream Two: The Nat-Sat Legacy Space Dream Three: The New Dina Galaxy Zorkon's Secret: The Search for the Conundrums CHILDREN STORY The Girl Who Heard Music Jeff grew up in the small town of Logan, Ohio. Before he became a full-time novelist, he was a research librarian, director of a college library, and a college professor. He lives and writes in Murrieta, California, one hour north of San Diego. His office has three Apple computers, an Apple iPad, an Apple iPhone, an eclectic collection of funky stuffed animals, a 5,000 book library, and no television.
