Amy Kochek grew up in the church. She is what you may refer to as a "church girl." She learned all the exterior markers that categorize a person as a christian. She wore the right clothes, said the right cliches. attended every church service and abstained from drugs, sex, and alcohol. However, what she presented as healthy on the outside did not really reflect what was going on inside of her heart. Even though she presented well, there were some secret, dark areas of her life that were causing her to have to pretend, on a regular basis. This exhausting reality weighed on her conscious until she hit a breaking point. What ensued next was a personal journey towards the importance of integrity and what happens when you live a life that is void of it. Amy Kochek grew up in Northwest Indiana but she currently resides in Clarksville, TN. She spent 7 years working as a high school English teacher until she decided to follow the voice of God and pursue her dream of becoming an author and speaker.
