The Far Out Five: Adventures in the Land of Obbal Nobbal is a classic archetypal fairy tale, yet with new progressive values in a fantasy, sci-fi setting. It is a story about five gifted youngsters from different corners of the universe who are involuntarily beamed to the Land of Obbal Nobbal by a wizard who works for a corrupt King.  The lead protagonist/hero is a female alchemist and clairvoyant named Opal who eventually falls in love with a fellow Far Out Five member—a Poet named Word. Using only their creative, nonviolent talents, the Far Out Five face such outlandish adversaries as the Schnarf Moles on the Plains of Foolbania, who render their foes impotent with snarky remarks. The big twist arrives when Opal defies the greedy King to do the right thing and be true to herself. Illustrated with great images - it is sure to become a classic!

Christopher Meesto Erato is a NYC School Teacher with a BA in Psychology and a MA in Art Education from NYU. Before becoming a full time teacher and writer, Christopher aka Sto (Sto-ology) was a professional Musician and Artist. In addition to playing the club circuit in NYC and LA, touring America and Europe, recording and having a couple songs get radio play, he got to warm up some of his heroes like The Ramones and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Christopher also worked in film and video. He produced, acted in, and did music for an independent feature called "The Electric Urn" that won two awards at film festivals. Mr. Erato has spent half his life in NYC's East Village creating and performing and more recently teaching. He was born and raised in the Connecticut shoreline area.
