About the author
LeVar Kelly, often known as Var, was born in Brooklyn, NY to Pastor Ivory & Lady Mary Kelly. As the youngest of four, he has watched his parents and siblings function in ministry, leadership, entrepreneurship, creativity, music, crafts, writing and many other talents. He graduated from John Adams High School of Ozone Park, NY in June, 1996 and continued to complete his Bachelor’s of Chemistry in January, 2003 from City University of New York: York College of Jamaica, NY. In addition to this, he continued his studies in Christian Education by completing his Doctorate of Religious Education from the New Greater Bethel Bible Institute in May, 2007. It was during his high school years he found his love for science and the laboratory, but it was his time during Bible School that he found his ability to write. He began to write lyrics for songs along with blogs. While he continues to work in the lab as a Senior Chemical Analyst, his love for writing and teaching God’s Word intertwined bringing him fulfillment and pleasure while serving God. He released his first book titled, “The Faith Reaction,” in 2010. Since then he has developed manuals and released other books. In addition to writing, his teaching ministry continues to expand. His teaching ministry has granted him opportunity to reach many within the U.S. and overseas. Var desires to do the will of God (John 4:34) in the spirit of Excellence (Proverbs 17:27; Daniel 5:12) and humility. While he senses that he’s found his purpose in God, he continues to endeavor to do more to Glorify God.
