Heather Mitchell Manheim grew up in Long Beach, California, and has traveled the world to find inspiration for her stories. After giving up a career in entertainment, she became a school bus driver, and in between her shifts, she writes. She currently lives in Camarillo, California, with her husband and cat. She previously published a science fiction novel, Marigold.
