About the author


Jo joined the United States Air Force in 2012 two weeks after her high school graduation. She went on to become a vehicle mechanic in the USAF and enjoyed that field tremendously. Working on vehicles felt like a giant puzzle and it was satisfying to solve problems. Unfortunately, in 2014 her career was cut short due to an allergic reaction to the antibiotic Cipro. Jo was medically retired from the USAF in 2015. After many trials and tribulations, Jo is making her come back. This is thanks to doctors, loved ones, friends, strangers, politicians, and the warrior herself.
