My belief in God and my grandmother's wisdom drove my determination to fuel my inner courage with discipline and self-respect. I walked with pride, a dutiful resistance to hate, and perseverance until I overcame the odds set against me. One man's corporate greed, coupled with his racist mindset to destroy my life, left me to fight back or lose everything. My heart raced to adjust as I rediscovered the courage to reset and get back what was wrongfully stolen. My willpower took hold, moving my ambition to reignite my success.
