The reader experiences the many shades, half light and dark of metaphor, allusion, and figurative language as well as the musicality of words spun within a mostly poetic, sonnet framework. An additional poem, Return to Pangaea is also included, a sci-fi epic poem that speaks to democracy, the environment, the American social landscape, and rubs against current mores.

About The Author

TOMA has been writing songs, poems, and lyrics all his adult life. He has been featured on National Public Radio and has been published in various chapbooks both here and abroad. He is a product of public and private schools having studied in: College Park, Maryland; Richmond, Virginia; Oxford, England;Paris, France; and Brussels, Belgium. As an English major at the University of Maryland and with further English, Literature, and Language studies abroad in Brussels, Paris, and at Oxford, TOMA (Tom MacDonald) has continued to have a passion for the written and spoken word through poetry, music, and writing. He also plays in a band called WhistleStop and is married with two children while living in Richmond, Virginia, the RVA.
