About the author
I am a 47-year-old mother of five and a grandmother of two. For the past four years, I have been the caretaker of my granddaughter who inspired this book. While raising my children, I worked as a social worker for Child Protective Services. I have over 20 years of experience working with special needs children. Particularly children on the Autism Spectrum. I have a degree in psychology and three years of graduate school in mental health counseling. I took a break from education to tend to my granddaughter and found it to be a very rewarding change of pace.
