Betty Lupacchino-Goree’s memoir, The Colors of My Life, is both
heartwarming and heart-wrenching. But through it all shines the
courageous character of the author. Betty leads the reader through
her first impressions of the husband she would raise a family with,
through the grief that followed his death and the struggles to
overcome the grief and keep her family financially secure to the
opening up of her heart once again when she had established
herself in her own photography business and was looking at future
horizons of potential. The crippling grief was overpowering, but the
author’s strength and courage carried her through and beyond. This
is a powerful memoir, an encouraging story for others struggling to
start over. Very inspirational.
