Overview
A whimsical tale about extremely intelligent chickens. A lovely story about respect and leadership for everyone to read. The endearing chickens from Happytown will finally live happily ever after.
Description
The book's story deals with the struggle for humane living conditions for animals. The story is told through the eyes of intelligent chickens who live in Happytown. "The Chicken Strike at Happytown" is written from the chicken's point of view and is geared for young readers. The author's thought provoking message is understandable and keen from an animal's perspective. The chickens are spearheaded by a lawyerly chicken named Jackson. The chickens decide to strategically strike by refusing to lay eggs for the town of Happytown. In time disaster ensues. The townspeople have no choice but to allow the chickens a voice. Once their voice is heard and reasonable demands are met, the chickens happily begin to lay eggs again.
