When Alaina Forestsong, a twelve-year-old witch, finds out that her mother is dead, life suddenly stops at a screeching halt. Sleeping becomes impossible and the days are never what they once were. Domenico Maniscalco lives in Skokie, IL, "The World's Largest Village," on the outskirts of Chicago with his two dogs, Zach and Bella. By day, he's a human resources executive.
