During her odyssey, Lizzie battles the internal demons of others, terrorists and North Korean agents who will stop at nothing to obtain this innovative technology. Along the way, she encounters threats to her life, personal tragedy and finally love. Join her as she travels to parts of the brain associated with memory, intelligence, and emotion. About the author
Hi there and welcome to my page! I was born in New Orleans, raised in Louisiana and New York, and now call Thomasville, Georgia, home. Four years ago, I decided to leave the practice of medicine where I was commuting between hospitals by helicopter to pursue my dreams of writing and sailing alone around the world. Both have been incredible learning experiences. I had no idea just how much was involved in writing a novel and then getting it published. I feel as if I put in at least as much time with The Cerebranauts as I did studying in all of medical school! I've learned much from the writing process and it's significantly changed the way in which I see myself and others. I believe there is as much science and philosophy in it as there is fiction, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing your comments and reviews. My solo circumnavigation is unique in a different way: I have weeks alone in the open ocean in which to think and write, something I never get to do on land with the many distractions that occupy all of our lives. In fact, most of the writing occurred during my long solo passages. My other hobbies include: • travel (I've been to over 300 nations, countries and islands), and my goal is to visit as many inhabited destinations as is possible meeting the locals and experiencing their culture, including their music and food. •aviation (I'm an avid pilot ((on furlough)), and fly hang gliders, helicopters, planes, and gliders). •languages (I speak French and Spanish, and am relearning Dutch). I'm now in the process of writing a sequel to "The Cerebranauts" series as well as an unrelated work, "The Safety Zone," which is a romantic work of historical fiction, taking place in China & Japan between the two world wars. I would welcome your feedback including what you liked about the book, what I could have done to improve it, and suggestions you might have for sequels. As a first time author, your reviews and critiques are especially important to me. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
