Jennie returns Matt’s affection and introduces him to her parents and relatives who are happy for their relationship. During this period, Jennie’s aunt, dies, bringing immense grief to her family. In her aunt’s belongings, she finds carefully folded dollar bills kept in an old stocking. She soon learns that the money comes from their family’s bootlegging business. Her father knows how to make whiskey which her aunt Clara sells to friends. They are very thankful for they have enough to survive through the difficult days. Jennie and Matt marry and continue to work hard for their future. They will be blessed with wonderful children as they overcome their struggles in life. About the author
Joyce Whitlock is a professional nurse for over twenty-years. She has authored three books. Her first book, "Sacred Ground,” is a vignette of her former neighbors from the eyes of a child growing up in a small rural community surrounded by cemeteries. "Julie the Dreamer," is an autobiography of a young girl’s determination to pursue her lifelong dream to become a nurse. Her third book, "Faith it All," is an inspirational written to assist individuals when they are confronted with challenging events such as unemployment, death of a loved- one, diagnosed with a terminal disease, and much more. She has written over forty publications for Yahoo Contributor Network on a range of topics from health and fitness to politics. She is a native Georgian but a former resident of California. She is compassionate about serving others and for that reason she chose a career in nursing. However, she realized her passion was writing. She lives in the suburbs of Atlanta with nearby family.
