About the author
Jeff Ferrell is a filmmaker, musician, actor and author from Seattle, Washington. After practicing to be a magician at a very young age, he then turned to acting and spent ten years focusing on that craft as a student in the theater. As a high school student, he first picked up a guitar and fell in love with writing and performing music. He formed his first band while still in high school, and played in other Seattle area bands before becoming a solo acoustic artist. His debut solo album "Color in the Black" was released in 2014.
A lifelong lover of movies, he attended the Seattle Film Institute in 2008, where he began his filmmaking career. After spending several years making short films and music videos, he began making his first feature film "Ghostlight" in 2012. He wrote, produced, directed, edited and acted in the film, which was released on DVD and Video on Demand in 2014.
"The Book of Whispering Spirits" is his first book as an author. He is actively developing a feature film that ties into the world of "The Book of Whispering Spirits", entitled "The House of Whispering Spirits", and is also writing, producing and directing the upcoming crime-thriller feature film "Razorblade Romance".
