About the author
Skip Haynes, formerly of the Chicago rock group Aliotta Haynes Jeremiah, now owns a record company in Los Angeles that creates music about, for and with animals.
He was a long time substance abuser who didn’t want to go to jail, into a free rehab program, couldn’t afford any of the expensive rehab facilities but knew he needed to straighten up his act or die. He developed and began using this day-to-day, week-to-week program that totally turned his negative lifestyle around and kept him abuse free and happy for the past fifteen years. After going through the process he felt there were many people who were in the same situation he had been in who could benefit from the program he had developed for himself.
Haynes has previously interviewed with NPR’s Weekend Edition, CNN with Jeanne Moos, ABC, NBC, CBS, Fox News, World News Tonight, , BBC, The L.A. Times, the New York Post, Newsweek, the St. Louis Post Dispatch, USA Today, the Washington Post, AARP Magazine and Life Magazine. He has been a guest on over 200 radio and television interviews.
After he straightened up his act by himself, so many people asked him how he did it, he wrote down what he had done, turned it into a book/CD then handed it to them when ever he was asked how they (or a friend of theirs) could do the same thing.
