About The Author

Dr. Will Novak is board-certified by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) and has more than 25 years of veterinary care and administrative expertise. He served as the first Chief Medical Officer of the nation's largest veterinary practice group as well as the head of business operations as Senior Vice President of Operations. Dr. Novak has managed veterinary hospitals from single locations to over 650 practices. He also managed the quality assurance program, in-house and online training programs and logistics. He has been involved with several veterinary related startup businesses and developed multiple types of veterinary management software systems. He has a unique expertise with pet health care plans with his involvement with Banfield's Wells Plans and Prevent Plans wellness plan administration software. His latest innovation is the development of On Point Pet Health Care Plans as well as a veterinary practice management software, PetMedWare. Dr. Novak is also the Founder of Pet Medical Centers which has been using these software systems since 2015 Dr. Novak received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Kansas State University and also holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration as well as a Bachelor's degree in accounting.
