L.J. Jackson was born and raised in Jersey City New Jersey. She takes care of her 94- year old grandmother. She has worked in the New Jersey Public School District with Special Education Students for much of her career. After years in the classroom, she went back to college and received a Master of Art in Education with a Specialization in School Counseling. Then she transitioned into a School Counselor position working with students in grades K-8."The Balance" is her first fantasy novel, which she envisioned, after an ankle injury in 2018. While she was home healing, suddenly the gift of writing turned on in her mind like a light bulb. When she isn't writing, L.J. Jackson enjoys Starbucks iced coffee, traveling, binging on a good HBO series, and spending time with family and friends. During her leisure time, Jackson takes pleasure in writing fantasy and science fiction stories with a spiritual twist. She hopes "The Balance" will open up the imagination of readers to the supernatural realm.
