Author of The Art of Elevating Others A brief but impactful reflection on leadership from a life spent building extraordinary teams around the world. Thomas Lind has spent his career building teams in some of the world's most demanding hospitality environments. Thomas is a hospitality executive and advisor and the Founder & Principal of Ankaret Hospitality Advisory. Over the course of his career he has held senior leadership roles across several of the world's most respected luxury hospitality brands, including Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, and Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. Thomas spent seven years as a General Manager with Four Seasons, a tenure that culminated in his promotion to Regional Vice President. He later served as Chief Operating Officer of The Elysian Company, overseeing the company's Forbes Five-Star flagship hotel in Chicago and its broader operational platform, and subsequently as Senior Vice President of Operations for The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts. Through Ankaret Hospitality Advisory, Thomas has advised distinguished hospitality brands and ultra-high-net-worth owners on operational excellence, leadership alignment, and service culture, including advisory work with Aman Resorts. Most recently, Thomas oversaw the development and launch of AVA Resort Riviera Maya, a large-scale beachfront luxury resort in Mexico. He also led the hotel development and opening within Avalon, a landmark 2.4-million-square-foot mixed-use community in Alpharetta, Georgia, comprising private residences, retail, restaurants, office space, and hospitality. Properties under his leadership have received top international recognition, including Condé Nast Traveler naming The Leela Palace Udaipur the #1 Small Luxury Resort in the World, and Travel + Leisure recognizing The Elysian as one of the Top Five New Hotels in the United States. Known for calm, visible leadership and a stewardship-focused philosophy, Thomas believes the most enduring success in hospitality comes from elevating others and building cultures grounded in dignity, trust, and service.
