The book describes my journey trying to pave a better way for my children and the different obstacles that came my way. Sleeping on the floor in a blanket, not having a place to live consistently, Working fulltime and going to school full time so that I can get my tuition paid. learning to say less and just keep moving against all odds. This is my story. Striving to attain the American dream that so many people speak about. It describes the tears, the hard work, the loneliness and sometimes the sheer exhaustion that being in a new country demands. It however also shows the unyielding determination to move forward, despite the many challenges. The laughter and joys that ultimately come from that dogged determination not to give up. It describes the resilience that did not come overnight but that was embedded in me from an early age watching my mom raise 5 children singularly with the help of God and the people in the church where I grew up
