Overview
The Adventures of Burt Alvord is a fictional novel based on the true life of Burt Alvord, a lawman who turned outlaw, train robber, and fugitive in the Old West. Though he is unaware, Burt experiences déjà vu while dreaming about future events in his life. As a child he and his friend, Billy Stiles witnessed the most famous gunfight the West had ever seen, known as the gunfight at the O.K. Corral between the Earps and McLaury's. As Burt got older, he played an important role in Cochise County serving as constable and deputy sheriff. Though Burt received high remarks for his tough guy methods of keeping the peace, he also had a reputation for being an alcoholic who frequented saloons, which greatly affected his marriage. In an effort to make more money, Burt used his knowledge gained from befriended outlaws to form his own gang of bandits. He and his men would cause havoc in the West robbing trains, cattle rustling, and escaping prison for a handful of years all while lawman Jeff Milton was always hot on their trail. Follow Burt as he attempts to find a way to accept his dreams, find new love, and reconcile his bloody past.

About the author
Bobby Brown earned a degree in history at the University of Arizona. He knew that one day he would be a writer. He was also a student-athlete on the baseball team, winning the 2012 College Baseball World Series. Writing was put on hold as he played Minor League Baseball for the Kansas City Royals. Since then, Bobby has been a successful baseball and softball coach. He still had a passion for studying history but found little time to write. When the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, Bobby, like many others, was left with a lot of free time. Bobby decided to devote his time to writing, publishing two books, first his baseball autobiography, Overcoming the Bench – A Baseball Guide to Players, Coaches & Parents, then a historical fiction novel, Of Space and Time – The Last Pandemic. Bobby lives in San Diego with his wife, two daughters, and one dog.
