Dr. Celeste Owens is dedicated to enriching the lives of others. Her mission is to motivate and inspire every person to succeed. Because she believes that every person was created for a specific purpose and has the potential to succeed beyond measure, she gives tirelessly of her gifts and talents.
Dr. Celeste has not always been so confident about her place in the world. As a child she thought she was irrelevant and often longed to be someone else or dead. Her young adulthood reflected this inner turmoil and she made many mistakes. Her wake-up call came in the form of an automobile accident. That accident began for her the journey back to the person God intended for her to be from the beginning. After several years of soul-searching, she began to believe that God intended to use her as His vessel to change the world. She then became excited not only about her life, but the lives of others. Now she is on a mission to help everyone realize their worth. Her desire is to see every person embrace their life and fulfill the destiny for which God has created them.
Dr. Celeste's speaking career began in 2004 as a faculty member with the University of Maryland at Baltimore. Today, she has gained national respect and attention for her thought-provoking presentations. Her impassioned approach to life and accomplishments as a psychologist and writer has made her a popular speaker for government agencies, churches, and community organizations. An expert on personal growth and trauma, she has appeared on cable television, and featured in local and national press including the Washington Post. She is an avid writer whose columns appear in various online magazines. Her blog The Good Success Movement is receiving excellent reader and viewer reviews.
Dr. Celeste's education includes a B.A. in Psychology from the State University of New York at Buffalo, a M.S. in Applied Counseling Psychology from the University of Baltimore and a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh.
In her spare time, she is actively involved in her local church and various other service organizations where she volunteers her time and talents generously. Dr. Celeste resides in the surrounding Washington Metropolitan Area where her most important works are being wife to her husband of over10 years and mom to their two young children.
