Melissa Broughton is the Co-Owner and Founder of Busy Bee Advisors (busybeeadvisors.com) a Sacramento California based Tax and Bookkeeping firm. Her background in corporate accounting and auditing complements her desire to serve as a financial translator to sole proprietors and small business owners. With her husband and business partner, Eric, Melissa is the co-host of the podcast, The Real Buzz: Taking the Sting Out of Taxes. She is currently the member of several women's groups and previously serves as the Finance Chair for the Sacramento County Bar Association and the Sacramento Children's Receiving Home. Melissa and her husband Eric enjoy working together and live in Sacramento with their youngest son and dog. They are also proud parents to a US Marine.
