About The Author

Rev. Eileen O. Brownell is a minister at the Center for Spiritual Living Chico and has served as a Chico Police Department chaplain since 2007. She spent the first years of her professional life working in leisure/community services and teaching at the college level. As a professional speaker and trainer, she has authored four books and traveled nationally to work with corporations and nonprofits. However, she ultimately returned to her spiritual roots and became the minister she was destined to be. It didn't take long for her to shift her speaking, writing, and teaching skills in a new direction, where she found a passion for police chaplaincy and working with people dealing with grief. Outside of her professional life, she can often be found camping, fishing, exploring the mountains of Northern California, chasing an elusive golf ball, or walking her four-legged children.
