Overview
It's important to remember that you are not alone. You're not alone when you find yourself taking multiple negative pregnancy tests. You're not alone when your doctor tells you that you're having a miscarriage. You're not alone when you are lying in the hospital bed holding your lifeless baby. There also is another woman in another room holding her own cherished child who she will not get to take home. Everyone has a different story, but our hearts all feel the same pain. "Teardrops in Hunter's Hollow" is more than a book, it's an honest account of the thoughts and feelings that link us together after enduring the pain of infertility, miscarriages, and more. Let this book be a hug to you. Nikki Grayson's writing is authentic and moving, and she shares her own personal experiences that remind others that they are never alone, even when enduring the indescribable pain of losing a child.
Description
The hope is there, but it's buried beneath a thick fog of fear. It's enveloped in you like the grass concealed by morning dew on a cool summer morning. You try to open your heart and welcome the sliver of a dream, but just as a young child doesn't want to open the mason jar to let the fireflies out, you too cannot help but securely keep your lid shut. This book is for the girl who: -Is dealing with infertility -Has suffered one or multiple miscarriages -Has experienced an ectopic pregnancy and the loss of a fallopian tube -Has undergone or is going through IVF -Has been to multiple clinics grappling for hope and answers This book allows its readers to walk through the author's personal experiences of all the above, and more. Grayson covers raw emotions and feelings, while giving tips and advice that she has learned throughout her own journey, including a section to help guide family and friends on what to say and not to say during this heartbreaking season.
About the author
Nikki Grayson endured years of repeated miscarriages, infertility, and the loss of her son Hunter at 16 1/2 weeks pregnant. Nikki experienced tremendous heartbreak and tears along the way, but was blessed with her rainbow baby, Oliver, one year after the loss of Hunter. With a heart that longs to reach out to others who are struggling after losing a baby, Nikki began writing this book a few weeks after giving birth to Hunter. She wrote each word while enduring the deep pain and grieving that any Mama who has lost their baby goes through. Nikki is married to Matt and has two Miniature Australian Shepherds who also count as her children.
