About the author
Barbara Murray, MSW, LCSW is a native of North Saint Paul, Minnesota and has lived in Colorado since 2007. She has had extensive training in the field of mental health and wellness and has completed hundreds of hours of CE in many specialized areas of treatment. She treats PTSD, parenting issues, sexual and physical abuse, adoption-related issues, and sexual addiction, among other areas. She received her bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Minnesota and completed her master's degree in social work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in 2005. Barbara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and maintains current state licensure in Colorado as well as membership in the National Association of Social Workers. She serves on the Colorado Post Adoption Resource Center Mental Health Board. She is also a volunteer mental health therapist for Mental Health America of Colorado doing pro bono work for those in financial need. Barbara also teaches parenting classes and helps parents "Take Back Parenting." She is a parenting coach and public speaker. And she runs a supervisory group for students in the field of mental health. Barbara is a wife and the mother of four children.
