Description
Stunning fine art photography from Jim Lynch is used to inspire insightful poetry and essays by J. David Gray. The result is far more than the sum of its parts; it is SYNERGY. Designed specifically for the iPad, suitable for iPhone. Jim needed some time filled on his radio program on Long Island and with a little arm twist here and there, California-based David agreed to write whatever came to mind after viewing one of Jim's emailed pictures. This continued for some months; the radio segment was a success. This book however would never have been possible without the enthusiasm of New York graphic artist Laslo Szekely. Laslo's layouts knitted together the two art forms, and "Synergy" was born. The three of us hope you enjoy this as much as we have enjoyed the process of assembling this. Purchasing this eBook entitles you to go to the head of the line for the table top edition, complete with bonus pages. Email us at jmlynch@optonline.net to reserve a copy.
About the author
Jim Lynch has been presenting his unique interpretation of our physical world since 1971. A native of Pasadena, CA, he has lived and photographed extensively throughout the United States. Jim moved to the New York City area in 1993. WUSB 90.1FM, Stony Brook, NY is Jim's other artistic outlet. He hosts both a sociologically focused talk show "Everything is Broken" and a Sunday jazz program. His audience is worldwide via the web. Jim's next planned book (2012) will feature his unique and intimate take on northern India. David Gray is a writer. His fascination with the written word came early in his childhood when he bought his first Elvis Presley and Everly Brothers 45's. He was taken by their ability to tell a complete story in three minutes. Gray has been honing his own word skills ever since by drawing on that same inspiration and appreciation of vivid brevity. David's written attention to detail and fondness for story was undoubtedly enhanced by his family's moving every two years. During each of these forays, Gray's interest in observing people's lives was accompanied by his desire to describe and interpret what he was seeing through the written word. David has lived in Sonoma, CA since 1975, where he owns and manages a successful business.
