About the author
Muriel Vasconcellos has had a long career working as an editor and translator for international organizations, both as a staff member and a freelancer. She holds a Ph.D. degree in linguistics from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. She now lives in San Diego, California, where she also enjoys interests that include art and graphic design, interior and landscape design, and volunteering in her community.
