Description
There is an evil villain named Ignorance who is looking to distract children from reaching their potential. Beans-N-Frank are rappers and straight-A students who want to help as many of their friends avoid Ignorance's traps. Fortunately, Knowledge is always there to help, and Beans-N-Frank help deliver Knowledge's message through music, songs, and books. Some may think that music could never help anyone in school, but they are those who never heard of Beans-N-Frank. The multi-cultural rapping duo teaches lessons through rap songs that you can recall while you're taking a boring test or doing some mundane classwork. Superheroes, their first picture book, is a trip into Big Frank's imagination about how their songs are helping their friends do well in school. If you want an adventure, come on and ride with Beans-N-Frank.
About the author
Mark Davis is a veteran teacher, performer, writer, and co-creator of Beans-N-Frank. He earned a BS degree in Psychology from Oral Roberts University in 1994. He met his partner Charles while working at a summer camp in Baltimore, Maryland in 1997. The two created a rap class where they would teach positive-themed hip hop songs for children, and the response was undeniable. By 2004, Mark and Charles decided to create two cartoon characters to represent the themes they were rapping about in an effort to revive the spirit of School House Rock.
