Shante Kiefer lives in the Carolinas with her husband and two kids. She has spent the last twenty years working, in some capacity, with children and youth. From co-founding a mentoring program program to writing character development curriculum and so much in between, she lives life with the adults of tomorrow in mind. Her knack for making people feel seen and valued serves as a catalyst in helping others reach their positive potential and approach each day with a sense of purpose. When she is not sitting at a coffee shop writing content, you might find her doing home renovations, traveling with her family, planning events, or even enjoying some comedy with her husband because it can't be serious all the time.

Overview
Description
With warm and inviting watercolor illustrations readers are taken on a journey to explore the light of the sky: the sun, the moon, and the stars. While exploring these beautiful lights, it is concluded that each has a very special time, place, and way they shine. Not one refuses to shine because of another. Instead, they shine in their own special way without limiting the other. Children are encouraged to follow this example by allowing their special light to shine. They are reminded that they don't have to go far or wait to be a light. There are simple everyday tasks wrapped up in kindness that can help them shine brightly right where they are. Shining isn't the only objective children learn. They are encouraged to cheer on others to shine with kindness and love too. It's when we all share our light that we see a better world. The world needs your light, so grab the book and encourage others to shine on.
