Such Is Life

In Such Is Life, her first published work, Kalliope King mixes poetry, essays, and a short story to reproduce life experiences we all relate to: the loss of a best friend, the quest to find love, the love parents have for their children. Kalliope King is an author and poet who lives and works in the South. “I have always loved to write, and sometimes I feel compelled to do so. In this book, I have let my words run free.” Such Is Life is her first book, but she is currently working on her second, a volume dedicated to poetry—to 100 verses of poetry to be exact.
