Description
Accomplished international dealmaker Brea James has been tasked with a simple insurance settlement—recover the legendary Sarianidi Goddess artifact. But Brea soon finds herself the unwilling guest of a remote hideout in the impenetrable jungle region of Northern Bangladesh. Believing she has become herself a pawn in a more clandestine deal to secure the Goddess, Brea's attempts at escape become futile and she finally succumbs to the many indulgences of her hideaway, including the undeniable charm of her captor, dangerous tribal leader Jai Khan. Learning more about his motives for detaining her, Brea becomes increasingly embroiled by her captor's surprising humanity and finds not only a commonality in his beliefs, but also an irresistible and confusing attraction to her host. With the help of Khan's beautiful and highly capable lieutenant, Aliyah, Brea finally escapes her jungle prison, forced to flee by an unexpected intervention by shadowy government forces, and inexplicably wakes back in her New York apartment. Not daring to believe her own memories of her recent capture, Brea again encounters Interpol's mysterious Jonathan Byrne who tells her that the deal to recover the Sarianidi Goddess can still be resuscitated, this time involving Brea in becoming a complicit part of complex CIA plot. Yet, once reunited with her former captor, Brea is faced with conflicting international interests, including the intelligence might of the U.S. government. Set against the backdrop of some of the planet's most exotic destinations, Brea must learn to survive a global thrill ride entangling her in both the shadowy world of heady geopolitical intrigue and the irresistible appeal of an illicit and unescapable erotic love.
