Description
This is a story of old love, new love, misunderstood love, misapplied love, motherly love, deceptive love and financial love. Stella Branch, a single Southern woman of means and ways, must find her first ex-husband Evinrude in order to save her son's life. Stella is heiress to a significant pig farming estate in Cletus, Georgia. Stella's son Walter is a sickly, socially inept man in his mid-40s, still living at home with his Momma. Walter has myriad illnesses but faces certain death without a liver transpant from a near relative. The night before Stella sets off on her quest for her ex-husband's liver sample, she runs into the secret love of her life, Truitt Barnes, in Huntsville, Alabama, while junk shopping. Truitt plays lead guitar for Stella's first ex-husband Evinrude's country band and is on his way to Nashville for a gig. Stella does not get this information and heads to Mobile, Alabama in her search. Meanwhile as Evinrude is also on his way to Nashville for the gig, his bus is hit by a train and Evinrude is missing. This is a story of candid love, love abused, fatherly love, unorthodox love, physically-challenged love, nick of time love and love lost.
