About the author
Rosanne Susan Ponchick earned her B.A. and M.A. at William Paterson University and also received an M.A. from New York University with additional Doctoral credits. She taught in Livermore, CA for 2 years and then taught in Teaneck, New Jersey for 46 more years.
Her life changed after responding to a child's question : How much is a million? Her plan was to collect a million tea tags . A story of her tea tag collecting project first appeared in The New York Times followed by an article in The Wall Street Journal. Her tea tag collecting project was featured in the textbook MATH published by Scott-Foresman-Addison Wesley
She appeared in 85 different publications and has presented tea talks at local organizations . Part of her collection was featured at a local library.
Rosanne has appeared on TV programs such as CNN, Channel 12, ABC and Personal FX. She has also been interviewed on radio programs such as Copley Radio, WOR, WESB News Radio1490 and CJAD800 AM.
In addition, Rosanne has received the following awards: Business Week Award, Teaneck Chamber of Commerce Award, Community Service Recognition Award and Celebration of Women's History Award. Other awards include: State of New Jersey Executive Department Proclamation, New Jersey General Assembly Resolution and US House of Representatives: Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition.
