About the author

Katharine and Madeleine are the reason that Stanley was born. After a two-hour commute to and from work when my girls were small, I was usually exhausted when I walked through the front door. I was typically home just in time to read them a bedtime story. The problem was, my eyes were often too tired to read. Thus, the character of Stanley was born from fatigue. Stanley's adventures differed each night. These adventures came to me as I spoke through each narrative. The girls soon loved Stanley, his friends, and his antics. He quickly became the default request instead of a book each night. It was the latter part of 2020, that I finally decided to put one of Stanley's adventures on paper. I hope you love him as much as we do. James is a resident of Pennsylvania and Miami Beach, Florida. He is Anne's husband and the father of two beautiful girls, Katharine and Madeleine.
