Delicious food should be eaten alongside the wide-open spaces of outdoor nights with their magnificent sunsets and the dawn of sunrise. Or, sitting in a mound of dirt so hungry you can't wait until camp.

Description

Food is a moment in time.

All too often, food for an adventure is an afterthought. There are those who believe that outdoor recreation, and its hunger pangs at the end of the day, lessens the mouth's ability to savor flavor. It isn't true. Food is energy. Reduced energy is a potential safety risk, as well as a lessening the enjoyment factor of an exciting outdoor exploration. But what if a Sweet Potato Breakfast Bowl was followed by a protein bomb of Quiche Bites for lunch, and dinner the warming flavors of Moroccan Spice Soup. What if meals outside enhance the experience?

Spoon & Slurp is for those who want mealtimes that nourish their backcountry appetite. Using (mostly) dehydrated food sources, the intent is that anyone can prepare foods without trading flavor and taste. Meals good for a solo experience or shared with a group of friends. Included are over 60 recipes with ingredient lists and step-by-step instructions. Each recipe concentrates on being—easy to prepare, require limited clean-up, lightweight to carry, nutritious for endurance, fill the belly, flavorful for the taste buds.
