Description

Sorry, Nope, Nuh-uh, No Way, I Cannot Go to School Today! is a laugh-out-loud rhyming picture book aimed at children ages 2-6, especially those who are having a hard time at school drop offs. Georgie is an adorable and mischievous little boy who tries to come up with any excuse in the book not to go to school that day: he's sick, the dog's sick, it's going to snow (it's a beautiful sunny day), he wants to cook Mom a wonderful breakfast and spend some quality time together, etc. This is a book in which the pictures do a lot of the talking, too. It will have kids belly laughing (while parents will be cheering Mom on for keeping her cool). At last, Georgie and Mom arrive at school, and when he peeks into his classroom, sees his lovely teacher, and hears all the fun his classmates are having, he decides to stay after all. He even hilariously thanks Mom for her persistence in getting him there.

About The Author

My name is Etaine Raphael, and I was born and raised in Washington, D.C. I currently live in Springfield, VA with my husband and two teenage daughters. I am a preschool teacher and run our preschool's literacy and STEAM programs. It simultaneously pulls at my heartstrings and makes me giggle when children cause such a scene at drop off, only to be absolutely fine two minutes later once they actually enter the classroom and remember how much they love school. I'm hoping this story will make those challenging times a little less difficult!
