In a time when mystical spells are the norm, deception is the instrument a mere magician uses when he learns of a prophesy about a unique being who will be born to rule many lands through the true ability of conjuring. A self-proclaimed “sorcerer” kidnaps this remarkable infant at birth and raises the child as his own; planning to control the lad in his unending lust for power. Despite the man's evil plans - Liam grows into maturity having a mind of his own, but insecurity from his father's cruelty forces him to submit. The lad learns of his father's true plans and finally stands up to him. However, Liam is not yet aware of all he'll have to sacrifice in order to fulfill his true destiny.

Liam falls helplessly in love with a bewitching redhead who has haunted his reoccurring dreams, only to discover that she's real and has shared his visions. However, Sanja wants nothing to do with the heir to the vile kingdom “Kydo the Sorcerer” now rules. Fighting against a marriage offered because she believes Liam is as wicked as Kydo, Sanja refuses to wed him. But as he begins to woo her, she realizes Liam isn't the man she thought. Sanja and Liam travel a rocky path in order to find the love they turned from - yet still secretly yearn for - as the young man finally discovers that his father is not the fair and moral king he claimed to be. Liam is not aware of all he'll have to sacrifice in order to fulfill his true destiny.

My name is Susan Bowes and I was born in 1950. I was raised in a small fishing village called Greenport. Greenport is located on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York State. I graduated from Greenport High School and have lived and worked in the area my entire life. Greenport, formerly known as Winter Harbor, was once a thriving seaport that anchored whaling vessels. In later years the town became a bootlegger’s haven due to its proximity to the Long Island Sound and New York City. There's a local restaurant that still boasts of the trap door under the bar leading to a storage area that held kegs of illegal booze while awaiting distribution. During World War 2 Greenport became a departure point for ships heading over to Europe. Our quaint village is now a tourist attraction that gets visitors from all over the country. I first put pen to paper late in the summer of 2005 having been inspired by the Star Wars movie "Revenge of the Sith." Being my first attempt at writing, this story was for “my eyes only.” Once finished it turned out much better than I expected so I posted it to a few fan fiction sites. The outcome astonished me. My story received such good reviews that I decided to keep writing. I’ve continued to post stories on the internet, all of which receive great reviews from fellow authors. My plans are to become an established author someday.
